8 An estimated 2,000 people gathered along with 77 National Guard troops who were called in because of a fear of the crowd becoming violent.

15 Became Known as the Kent State Massacre One of the most disturbing parts of the event was the distances that the students were shot from. 19 What did we learn from this lesson? Not just facts.. What is the big picture?? Expression through art is an excellent way to get your message out to people. Don’t just assume that everyone “in charge” is always necessarily right. Just be sure to do it intelligently & in a respectful and peaceful manner.
