8. Session Objectives To orient AAA Planners in the use of the “Reference Guide for Development of the 2005- 2009 Area Plan” to plan for the future. Planners will learn how to use the Reference Guide to prepare a four-year Area Plan and future updates that will meet minimum requirements. Learning from our mistakes to help us improve what we do.

9. Where will your PSA be in 2009? 1. Develop coordinated and accessible home and community-based systems of care. 2. Plans need to reflect how the AAA intends to build and improve these systems. 3. Plans help the public measure progress. 4. The AAA planning function is fundamental to the community’s success in realizing a coordinated systems of care. 5. Follow the steps of the planning process and maintain a legacy.
