2 The main laws of Judaism are in the Torah, the first five books of the Hebrew Bible.

3 The Jewish people believed in monotheism. They believe in Yahweh, their only God. Yahweh gave them laws that explained to have peace with their god and each other.

4 During Passover, Jewish people retell the departure of the Israelites from Egypt. They also celebrate Rosh Hashanah, which is the Jewish new year. On this day, the Jews pray and have solemn thoughts. After Rosh Hashanah, the Jews celebrate Yom Kippur, which is the holiest day in Judaism. Another name for Yom Kippur is Day of Atonement. Yom Kippur is observed by a 24 hour period of prayer and fasting.

5 Abraham is known as the founder of Judaism according to the Jewish bible. He is the first Jew and the physical and spiritual ancestor of the Jewish people. He is one of the three Patriarchs of Judaism.( Abraham, Isaac, Jacob)
