3 THE ROSE The red blossom bends and drips its dew to the ground. Like a tear it falls

4 THE RAINBOW Curving up, then down. Meeting blue sky and green earth Melding sun and rain.

5 FILL IN THE 7-SYLLABLE LINE Green elms in the woods _______________________________ Standing tall and proud

6 FILL IN THE 5-SYLLABLE LINES ___________________________ The petals bend to the earth ___________________________

8 TANKA #1 Beautiful mountains Rivers with cold, cold water. White cold snow on rocks Trees over the place with frost White sparkly snow everywhere.

9 TANKA #2 The leaves change color When the fall winds start to blow, Yellow, orange and brown Are the colors of fall leaves, Slowly falling from the trees.
