Developing Professional Presentations San Jose State University Department of Human Performance 2010

2 Vision Statement  In our classrooms we now use computers linked to projection devices to enable cost effective and professional presentations using slides.  By presenting information through multimedia application we are capable of updating information with little to no expense. Real slides are costly and become outdated quickly.  Now we’re moving into the age of WIKIS and beyond.

3  We can also so easily add video, sound, and still photographs to any presentation easily.

4 Goal and Objective  to learn about presentation tools  to learn about presentation organization  to understand the role of presentation in measurement and evaluation  to provide information about different skills tests available

5 Define Terms  Quantitative  Qualitative  Battery of tests  Test items  Basketball test battery

6 Organization  Idea  Introduction  Short Review  Method  Results  Discussion

7 Idea Here is where you should state your question or idea You might also present your hypotheses at this point

8 Review of Literature A summary of the relevant literature should be presented here Be sure to give credit to the authors/researchers that published the literature you are using http://www.sjlibrary.org/gateways/academic/

9 Method  Participants  Instrumentation  Procedures  Design and Analysis
