Why Join Ridgefield High School Girls Soccer? o Soccer is a very fun, competitive sport. o When you play well in a game, you feel very good about yourself. o Be able to hang out with friends. o The team becomes a family. o All the girls are here to help you improve skill, and if you just need a friend. o Competing in the FCIAC’s and having a chance at coming in 1 st place. o Great exercise.

3. Membership Requirements Attendance: Must show up to ALL practices, and games. If you have to miss one, please tell the coach AHEAD of time. Practices: Varsity/JV: SRMS Field, 3:00-4:30 PM Monday-Friday Freshman: ERMS Field, 3:00-4:30 PM Monday-Friday Shuttle Bus will be provided: BUS LEAVES AT 2:30 PM. You must be passing 4 out of your 5 major subjects. If you need help with finding a tutor then please contact your coach. Uniform: Cleats, socks, shorts, t-shirt, water bottle AT ALL TIMES. If you do not come to practice prepared you will be penalized.

4. What Ridgefield High School Girls Soccer is All About? o The purpose of participating in the RHS Girls Soccer Team is because you love the sport. o Soccer is a very competitive sport, and practicing every day after school for an hour and a half really benefits your skill. o You get to work on skills you want to get better at, and also have fun being with friends. o During soccer season, the team becomes a family, and you watch out for one another under any occasion.

6. How to Join Ridgefield High School Girls Soccer BEFORE TRYING OUT, PRACTICING, OR PLAYING FOR ANY SPORTS TEAM, CHILD MUST HAND IN ALL FORMS TO THE ATHLETIC OFFICE. Violations An Athlete is prohibited from possessing or using the following:  Alcohol  Illegal drugs (including anabolic steroids)  Tobacco 1st Offense Athletes found in violation of a training rule will be suspended for the equivalent of: Tobacco—10% of regular season games (no suspension will be less than one (1) game) Alcohol and illegal drugs—20% of regular season games (no suspension will be less than two (2) games 2nd Offense An athlete will be suspended from the team for the entire season. 3rd Offense An athlete will be suspended from participating on any team for the remainder of the school year, and: The athlete must attend and participate in all practices. The athlete must attend all contests but may not participate and may not be in uniform. The athlete must complete a reentry interview with the Athletic Director and coach.

8. Miscellaneous Information Fundraisers: RHS Booster Club Away Games: It depends on what time your game is, but be planning to leave an 45 minutes to an hour before the game starts. You want to make sure you have all of your equipment. There will be time to practice before games. THERE IS A NO EATING POLICIY ON ALL OF THE BUSSES. If you want to leave the game with your parent/guardian, you must fill out the release form stating you are not taking the bus home with your team.
