Latitude – imaginary lines which run east and west BUT measure degrees north or south of the equator
0° latitude is the Equator
These lines never cross

7. Latitude and Longitude
Longitude – imaginary lines that run from North to South Pole but measure degrees east or west of the Prime Meridian
0° longitude is the Prime Meridian
These lines cross at the north and south pole

It separates two consecutive calendar days
