4 PROS AND CONS  Pros  Predictable  Stable  Everyone knows who is in charge  Safety and security  Power to enforce law  Power to protect people  Transference of power is stable  Cons  Very little change or adaptation  Can have a tyrant or a crazy person  Sometimes the king is a child. Then what?  Sometimes there is no male heir. Then what?  People have no say  If king is defeated, creates a power vacuum
