6 Indirect Object Pronouns Indirect object pronouns tell to whom or for whom the action is being done.

7 Indirect Object Pronouns They mean the same thing in English as do the direct object pronouns, only they add the words “to” or “for”. Look at the following English examples 

8 Indirect Object Pronouns (to or for) me (to or for) you (to or for) him, her, it (to or for) us (to, for) you all (to or for) them

9 Indirect Object Pronouns Spanish me(to or for me) te(to or for you) le(to or for him, her, it) nos (to or for us) os (to or for you all) les (to or for them, you all)

10 Placement: Indirect Object Pronouns 1.before a conjugated verb 2.attached to the end of an infinitive 3. Attached to the end of the “-ing” (-ando/-iendo) **accent a or e***

11 Before the conjugated verb: ¿Le vas a dar el libro a ella? Are you going to give the book to her? (Note: a ella, a ti, a vosotros, etc, may be added for clarity)

12 After the infinitive: ¿Vas a darle el libro a ella? Are you going to give the book to her? (Note: a ella, a ti, a vosotros, etc, may be added for clarity)

13 Attached to the end of the “-ing” (-ando/-iendo): ¿Estás dándole el libro a ella? Are you giving the book to her?

14 Indirect Object Pronouns In addition to, “a él, a ti, etc, a person’s name may also be added for clarity
