6. Symbol Poem A participle is a verbal ending in -ing (present) or -ed, - en, -d, -t, -n, or -ne (past) that functions as an adjective, modifying a noun or pronoun. Example: Hannah Young and short You remind me of a miracle That never had a normal life I wish that you got to see the real world.
