6 Why is Gold Important? In the past it was used by: South Americans, Asians, South Africa, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Chinese In the past, it was used to make jewelry and money Uses: Jewelry, finance, electronics, computers, dentistry, medical, aerospace, awards, glassmaking, fighting cancer

7 Interesting Facts Gold was the first element known to man Pure gold is 24 karats
