Summary Member Biographies Robot Story Team Conclusion

Griffin Jones 1st semester Freshman Exploratory Engineering Major I’m considering Electrical Engineering In this course I got my first hands on experience with breadboards, as well as with programming. I learned that even though programming can be frustrating at times, seeing your robot finally work the way you wanted it to is incredibly satisfying.

Continued... In the future here at UF, I hope to get involved in research and possibly join a design team to improve my technical skills. I’m not sure what I want to do for a career yet, so my current goal is to discover my passion. Words of wisdom: Things don’t always work out the way you want them to. You just have to keep trying until they do.

Abigail Hulshult Freshman, 1 st Semester Originally was Exploratory Engineering, now Computer Engineering This class has been lots of fun. I learned many interesting things dealing with circuits and robots, like how to make an LED blow up! This course helped me realize that I like the idea of programming something, like a robot, rather than building it.

Continued… I definitely plan to get involved in research at UF and possibly join a design team at some point I want to work for the government, with either the CIA, FBI, or DOD Words of Wisdom: Don’t forget to get involoved and gain leadersip experience. Not only does it make your time at UF more memorable, but it also makes you stand out to recruiters.

Noah Esham Freshman, 1 st Semester Mechanical Engineering This course has taught me a number of important skills in the field of robotics, such as building circuits, using breadboards, and basic programming. This class has sparked a new interest in robotics in me. I hope learn more about robotics in the future, and possibly even get involved with a robotics club on campus.

Continued… In my coming years at UF I would love to get involved in research and join, or start, a club on campus for automotive enthusiasts. I hope to someday work for a high performance automotive company, or become a race engineer for a LeMans endurance series racing team. Words of Wisdom: Find something you’re passionate about and pursue that passion. You will feel purposeful and enjoy your work if you love what you are doing.

Brian Kusnick Freshman mechanical engineering major What I’ve learned from this course is basic programming and teamwork This course has helped prepare me for the future in that I have been shown that seemingly difficult ideas come from simple concepts. My goal for UF is to eventually join a design team like the subjugator.

Continued… Career Plans: Unknown. Words of wisdom: Go to class, Dr. Arroyo and Dr. Scwartz are really interesting. You will learn a lot!

Mr. T’s Story Our story follows a turkey, Mr. T, who is on a mission to escape thanksgiving. Mr. T is traveling to Washington D.C. to find President Obama. Why? Because the president protects a select turkey every year from the dangerous holiday. Will Mr. T succeed? Stay tuned to find out!

Team Conclusion Everyone should do engineering because you can control robots, learn really awesome, spectacular things and have great professors, like Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Arroyo!
