3 Climatic Interactions No, because of the earth’s tilt the sun’s rays HEAT the earth unevenly. Most strike the Equator and the rest spread over the earths surface.

4 Climatic Interactions More energy means warmer temps, like Hawaii. Less energy means colder temps, like the North and South Poles.

5 Energy transfer Heat is transferred three ways: Conduction: heat passed between solids that are touching; frying. Convection: heat flowing between circulating liquids and gases; boiling. Radiation: heat transferred by waves without molecules; microwave.

6 Convection currents Circulating currents of energy causing liquids, solids, and gases to rise as temperature rise; land and sea breeze. Create air currents in the atmosphere Create water currents in the ocean

7 Currents of energy Atmospheric convection produces waves of Air and Wind currents. Oceanic convection produces waves of Water and ocean currents.
