2 Fibonacci_Nantes 2010 – 2011 AIMS Spreading out good practices in inquiry based education in science and technology : - using « hands on » experience: Inquiry, active learning, notebook … - developping coordinated cross-disciplinary teaching at middle school Support of teachers to develop their skills and get confidence in inquiry based education : - Training and educational support - support in class - material and logistics backing

3 Fibonacci_Nantes Partners involved in the coordination group come from differents institutions - Department of education = 1 ressource teacher - Diocese direction = 1 official representative - City Hall of Nantes = sciences centre « SEQUOIA » - Ecole des Mines of Nantes = four part times scientists 2010 – 2011 COORDINATION GROUP (1/2)

4 Fibonacci_Nantes Educational : * Teachers training - Department of education + diocese direction - coordinators for disavantadges area - Ecole des mines - to be done : secondary school teachers training * Support in class by the coordination group * 1 Ecole des Mines continuous contact for each school 2010 – 2011 MEANS : A SUPPORT NETWORK TO TEACHERS TO GET CONFIDENCE AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY IN INQUIRY BASED EDUCATION (1/3) (in progress)
