15. Forced movement of 15,000 Cherokee Indians at gunpoint from Georgia to Oklahoma. Many died, hence the name, the Trail of Tears. Associated with Andrew Jackson.

16. Movement west of people for farming, mining and adventure. Highpoint was during Manifest Destiny during the 1840’s.
