15. “One Small Place in a Tree” Expository nonfiction explains information or ideas. Nonfiction selections contain real facts about a topic. Nonfiction often includes photographs or realistic illustrations of the subject. In addition, nonfiction may include maps, charts, or diagrams. Pictures often give more information about a topic or show the facts in a different way.
