1. Boston is one of the most renowned intellectual, cultural and scientific centres of the east coast of the USA. In the area surrounding the city, you can find many colleges, some of them are really famous, like Harvard or Boston University. Boston was founded in 1630 through the action of English Puritans; in the following centuries, its population grew up and its cultural role in the States increased exponentially. Nowadays, Boston is also a touristic destination of big interest: every year lots of people come to visit the heart of the city: Charlestown.
