10. Could you still understand the passage if you did not know the word, inquiry? I would still know that Herod heard about a king being born and he was terrified. That is the main idea here. So it is not important to know the word inquiry here. Comprehension

11. Could you still understand the passage if you did not know the word, pilgrimage? When you read the sentence, “We are on a pilgrimage to worship him”, I don’t think you have much information for the word’s meaning. If you read the entire paragraph you know they traveled far from the east to find the new King. You can use context clues! Comprehension

12. Could you still understand the passage if you did not know the word, homage? Where can we find and pay homage to the newborn King of the Jews? You can use context clues here, too. They want to worship him. Homage means to worship, to give honor. Comprehension

13. Could you still understand the passage if you did not know the word, scholars? “…a band of scholars arrived in Jerusalem from the East.” You can use context clues here, as well! If you Read further on in the next few verses you see they studied the skies and stars and were able to interpret them. They were knowledgeable! Comprehension
