2 Membership Website Redesign Began in late 2008 with planning with these Goals: – Provide a platform for the members to share resources; – Enhance collaboration among users – Understand that WSTIP is just one of those shared resources – Include WSTA and Training Coalition as additional resources March 2010

3 SharePoint Platform SharePoint is a web-based tool to SHARE resources and information – Collaborative tools for users – Easily manage content – Users understand the basics easily – Cost effective in comparison to other platforms – Microsoft product March 2010

4 Phase 1 Steps Completed Project planning paperwork Hardware and software enhancements Design the look and feel of the Transit Portal site Design the engine behind the Transit Portal Redesign WSTIP’s public website onto a SharePoint platform Work in cooperation with partners: Washington State Transit Association and Training Coalition March 2010
