1 This slide show highlights everything you need to know about The Tigers at Ridgefield High School. Presented: J. Scott Obernier Project 8: Getting Involved in Your School 12/17/10

2 Why Join The Tigers? The Tigers are the football team of the high school. If you like playing sports, especially ones where you play with kids from other schools in competition, this is the group for you to be in. When you join, you can gain a lot of respect from other athletes, and it will help you stay fit and healthy.

3 What The Tigers are All About The purpose of this organization is to keep kids energized, and healthy. It helps meet new friends while doing something you like. Kids would enjoy participating because it’s fun, and it gives you something to do after school other than just watching television.

4 How to Join The Tigers A student can join by calling (203) 438-3785, and filling out some papers. A student can join through the internet on the schools website (www.ridgefield.org/rhs). The membership to play on the team costs $225 for all grade levels. The athletics director is named Carl Charles.www.ridgefield.org/rhs

5 Membership Requirements The attendance policy is that you should show up for practices, and games without being absent. Practices take place at Tiger Hollow, which is down a hill next to Ridgefield High School. Kids on team must have good grades. If they are failing, they cant be on the team. You will need to wear your football uniform for practices, and games. You’ll need a helmet, shoulder pads, etc.

7 Miscellaneous Information During major games, tickets cost money. All of that money goes to the Ridgefield High School as a fund to support the school. The team plays at other home fields on Connecticut, which can be looked at as a field trip in a way. Volunteer work can be spreading the word of games online, and through the school papers.
