3 + Family is the basic unit of Society. What are ways that you as individuals impact your society in positive ways? What are examples you’ve seen of people impacting society negatively?

4 + Family Law Taxes and interest rates influence how much money families have to spend Some laws set up programs for people who are poor, out of work, or need help Local, state, and national laws can also affect the education of children National Social Security laws have an impact on older family members

5 + Business World Why do businesses want strong families? When workers have problems at home, their work often suffers too. Stress at work affects how workers relate to each other. It can also affect how workers relate to others in their families If employers are flexible, it can make it easier for working parents to meet their children’s needs. When employers create helpful family policies, both sides gain. Home life is better and people are happier which makes more effective workers.

6 + The Family’s Responsibility What makes a family strong? What makes a family weak? With a partner make a list of specific ways that families can make more time to be together. You can come up with different ideas to fit different family situations.

8 + All families have problems. What do families need to help them solve their problems? They need to know: Family should always come first EVERY family member must contribute to the family Change is always possible
