4. What you need to know… Each day an estimated average of 353,000 babies are born. Many of these children will grow up to be influential people, who may even change the world. An influential person has characteristics that help them persuade and influence masses of people. Some traits many influential people share are self-confidence, interpersonal skills, good public speaking skills, passion, positivity, and many other skills which make people want to follow them.

5. Your Assignment Choose ONE of the Influential People provided to research. Create a research question to provide a framework for your research. Your question needs to be specific, simple, and intriguing. Use your question to guide your research as you look for interesting facts about your person. Create 25 notecards of interesting facts and information you will use to answer your research question in the form of a paper. Make sure you have a source reference card for each source you use. Use your notecards to draw ideas, and integrate information. Create your paper by using facts, and generating your own original ideas to describe the influence your person had on the world.
