1 Campus Information Services (CIS) What information can you find out by using CIS

2 uNID University ID Part of the class registration process creates your uNID. This ID will follow you throughout your University of Utah academic career. This ID will create a university email, any official correspondence from the University typically goes to this email. You will need this ID to access many programs in the university system.

3 How do I log into CIS Go the University of Utah website, lower right hand corner. Click on the red button CIS.

4 Use your UID and two digit birthday 01/01/01 as your password. The first time you log in you will be prompted to change your password.

5 What can I do in CIS This panel will include the demographic information you submitted with your registration.

6 Canvas Canvas – is a online classroom. Any online assignments will appear in this location:

7 Grades and Transcripts Here you can view your final grade Going to a different higher education institution? Here you can find an unofficial transcript and you can order an official transcript.

8 Calendars, Catalogs and Schedules You will be able to view the following  Academic Calendars for the Regular University Schedule  General Catalogs for all University Courses  Student Handbook  Class Schedule for Regular University classes

9 In this panel you can access registration hold information and set up your FERPA consent form.

10 Academic Holds When your final GPA falls below 2.0 for the semester, you will have a academic hold placed on your record, which will not allow you to register for classes in the next semester. This hold will only be removed by an Academic Advisor from the University of Utah. The Academic Advising meeting will determine if you can continue on with UofU/AMES classes.

Generally, without a student's written consent, the University of Utah may not disclose information from a student's educational records. For additional information regarding FERPA, please see http://registrar.utah.edu/handbook/ferpa.php on the Web. Students who want to allow information released to individuals, or who want to receive information, about their Financial Aid, Scholarships, Tuition, Registrar Records, Housing Residential Education, or Academic Advising (University College/Departmental and College Advisers) Records over the telephone, in person, or electronically must complete this declaration form providing a standing release to the University to disclose education information from the offices you designate below.
