6 Thanks to the members of the “Italy Team” Survey of Students Meetings with Mr. Estill to obtain permission Over 20 hours of accounting Organization of the Backpacking Retreat Parent meetings Hostels and the CREA program A total of 56 hours and six days outside of contract.

10 Kindness Is one of the greatest gifts you can bestow upon another. If someone is in need, lend them a helping hand. True kindness lies within the act of giving.

12 Give Thanks To each other for the little things To those who will serve you during our journey-waitresses, flight attendants Those who teach you at CREA Your guides who give you a special insight into life in Italy Your parents-they don’t get to go to Italy, they helped you have the opportunity. Your teachers-they get to go to Italy with 20 teenagers!

13 Lets Pack our Things

14 How do you dress for? What would you wear if you took your parents hiking to Lizard lake? What would you wear if you were getting ready to go to church? Are your choices the same? What would you wear if you wanted to go out to dinner at a nice restaurant? What if you were going to Burger King? Your choice of clothing matters….a great deal!

15 What to Pack 5 days of clothes, choose something you can wear multiple times A pashmina or clothing to cover bare shoulders in churches and some art galleries Light jacket/raincoat Sandals and a pair of comfortable shoes that you have worn Sunscreen and over the counter meds Small Towel Small bag of toiletries (drug stores have small quantities) Combination Lock Chargers for your phone and international adapter

16 What to Carry On Empty water bottle Your camera and phone A shirt and one change of underwear Sunglasses A book? Magazine? Headphones? Your passport Pen and Pencil Sweatshirt or fleece jacket

17 What to leave at home Camouflage-gear or military wear Short shorts All electronics except your phone Hair dryers or curling irons Something to throw: this means footballs, frisbees, tennis balls, hackey sacks, Knives

18 Final Instructions Baggage Check June 15- We will go through your packing and will keep your bag locked up overnight. Bring a two week supply of your medications to school and Mrs. J will carry them to Italy for you. Prescription meds in the original bottles. Exception: Epi Pens and inhalers are always carried by the students. Students carrying inhalers or epi pens go through security next to a teacher. Be at school at 11:30 on June 16 to catch the bus to Vancouver. Possible send off??? Parents meet students at the school at 4:30 on Friday, June 26 (traffic dependent, students will call) Have you tried your debit card? Have you signed up for an international calling plan?
