The Lenox Public Schools will be a district that explicitly acknowledges accomplishments, recognizes excellence, and affirms the positive contributions of all staff. II. The Lenox Public Schools will be a professional learning community (PLC) where all staff share leadership and take collective responsibility and ownership of the district’s students and mission. III. At the Lenox Public Schools actionable professional development (PD) offerings will grow organically from the needs of the school and faculty, be consistent with best practices, and provide a structure for reflection and application. There is public acknowledgement of teacher and staff accomplishments. Administration will process and award professional development points (PDPs) in a timely manner. There is a culture of affirmation that recognizes the positive contributions of all staff. There is shared leadership, responsibility, and collaboration in planning and participating in meeting the mission of the district. There is a culture of professionalism and collective responsibility that is inclusive, comprehensive and empowering for all staff/employees Faculty and staff benefit from the expertise of a wide range of partners within the school community All staff take responsibility for the success of all students Challenges are overcome through effective working partnerships There is frequent and regular PD that comes organically from the needs of the school/faculty There is a clearly defined quality PD program that provides numerous opportunities for "trying it out" and reflection PD is coherent, aligned and complementary to district and school goals, as well as individual and licensing needs There is a structure for sharing, discussing, researching, etc. teaching practices within the school There is shared leadership, shared responsibility, and professional collaboration in planning and participating in professional growth opportunities

The Lenox Public Schools will have a culture that attracts and retains the best teachers and staff There is a structure for sharing, discussing, researching, etc. teaching practices within the school The district supports learning from each other through mentoring, team teaching, discussion groups, professional learning community, etc., and make it work for Teacher portfolios Professional excellence includes the ability to evoke a cooperative spirit among faculty and staff. The LPS is the ‘employer’ of choice Existing staff reach out to ‘strong prospects’ There is public acknowledgement of teacher and staff accomplishments
