4 There are different types of nursery schools, including: State nursery schools - funded by the local education authority and free. Community preschools - independently run on a not-for- profit basis (often by parents) and charge fees, although your child may be entitled to a free part-time place Private nursery schools - independently run and charge fees, although your child may be entitled to a free part- time place.

5 a) A nursery school or class will be registered and regularly inspected; b) Your child will be taught by qualified teachers; c) He'll have an appropriate and structured learning programme; d) He'll be among children the same age; e) He may have contact with older school-age children; f) He may move directly to a linked school once he's old enough.

6 A child usually attends: 1. only two to four hours per day, 2. for three to five half-days per week, 3. for eight to ten months per year. Nursary school helps me to prepare for elementary school It has its own head teacher and staff (trained teachers, nursery nurses and classroom assistants).

7 The program of nursery schools allows children to learn through play and to create an environment that is supportive and stimulating. Their goals is to help children to develop a healthy sense of identity and self-esteem by discovering their emotional, intellectual, physical and social strengths. Nursery school is a wonderful idea to find good friends
