dBLink3 Reporting Software for Model 22 Personal Noise Dosemeter system

Installing the software Insert the disk into the CD drive. Once loaded, you will be prompted with a Setup Wizard. The user should first select the language they want to use, then browse to the folder that they wish to have dBLink3 downloaded to. Once completed, the user can select to launch the software straight away.

Getting Started Once dBLink3 has been launched, the user will be shown the Getting Started tab (see below): The user is then given two options to choose from: Before making measurements and After making measurements, Each of these options give a description of what the user is able to do from that specific tab (blue boxes).

Before making a measurement Selecting the Before Making Measurements tab will take the user to a screen (shown below): Once the doseBadge Reader is connected, it will show the screen below:

Changing Settings Along the bottom of the screen, you can select to Set the clock, Clear the memory or Set up the measurements. When setting up the measurements, the user is able to change the Criterion Time, Criterion Level, Threshold, Time Weighting and the Exchange Rate of the device (green box). There is also a Quick Setups section where the user is able to choose from a list of pre-requisites (red box).

After making measurements Once the user has taken their measurements, they need a way to view them in a graphical format, this is done with this tab (shown below): First, the user needs to download the data from the instrument by selecting the applicable button (Red box). This will download the data collected into the application. Once completed, the user can then select view measurement data as shown below. The user can then make notes for the dataset.

Creating a report When the user wants to create a report, they can choose between a compact or comprehensive report (green box). Dependant on their preference, they can also choose to use selected measurements or use all the measurements at once for the report (red box). A Compact Report consists of key measurement parameters in tabular form such as the doseBadge number, measurement time and data, run duration, LAeq and Lex,8h (exposure) etc. along with a time history graph. There are normally about 3 measurements per page. The Comprehensive Report option gives much more measurement data and a larger time history graph with one measurement per page.

Customising and Printing your report Once the user has created their report, they can move to the customise menu, this gives them a chance to add any extra details e.g. notes, company logo and title. Once the user has customised their report, they can preview it (green box) or print it (red box).

Exporting data to Excel The last option for report production is exporting to tables in Excel. This lets the user have the option to store the data in a neat Table. This lets the user to…. Export either the report to an Excel worksheet (red box), Export the data as a Table in Excel (green box) Export the report to an Excel worksheet with time history data (blue box). Each of these outputs can be with either all the measurements from the device or just individual ones that are selected by the user (yellow box). Remember that all of this information is in the Help files supplied with the software.

Benefits The Pulsar Instruments dBLink3 software allows you to configure your doseBadge Reader unit, download your results, view these results and quickly create a variety of clear reports.
