The force was destroyed w/ total destruction Athens held out for another 9 years before surrendering to Sparta in 404 B.C.

14 Alexander the Great 456-323 B.C. Studied under Aristotle From Macedonia King at the age of 20 13 year campaign that blended the cultures of Greek – Persia – Egyptian, through conquest. Founded the city Alexandria at the mouth of the Nile, after being crowned pharaoh. Died without an heir, the empire was divided amongst his strongest generals.
