Plan it… Try easy day/hard day in turn Work out a realistic schedule Every night 6 – 7pm Plan your schedule around your favourite tv programmes or any activities that you do. Try working Saturday mornings instead of Friday evenings. If the schedule doesn’t work …change it!

Pace it How often and how long for? Short bursts and a short break (10 – 20 minutes) – learn by heart 10 French words or the different area formula. longer sessions and followed by a longer break (50 - 60 minutes) – try a past paper.

Time Management oMake your revision a priority oSchedule/Timetable oBe realistic. oEstablish how much time is left before your exams begin. oAllocate time across your subjects. Don’t just focus on the subjects you are good at. oSelf Study vs Group Study

Preferred Learning Style Say out aloud or sing it! Play background music Draw it! Pictures Map it! – mind map or spider diagram List it in order Learning lists – make up your own funny phrases or acronyms (initials) Explain it to someone else Reading too long? Sing, rap or dance the words.

Prepare your body Keep your work life balance Drink lots of water ( the brain works best with 6 – 8 glasses of water) Eat brain food – more complex carbs (potatoes, rice, cereals) and less of the simple carbohydrates ( sweets and sugary foods) Tired? Get more sleep. Fresh air and exercise!

Prepare your mind Don’t get stressed – take more breaks Need reassurance? Rely on family, friends and good planning – not lucky mascots.

Place it You need A quiet space, Your own study area Separate from your relaxation area if possible A good sized table.
