2 “The reason most people never reach their goals is that they don't define them, learn about them, or even seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will help them get there.”

3  Gives you long term vision  Gives you short term motivation  Gives you pride in the achievement  Raise your self confidence

4  First create “big picture” of what you want from life. What goals would you like to achieve in next 10 years?  Then break down into smaller goals What goals would you like to achieve in 5 years?  Once plan is finished…start working towards goals

5  Try to set goals in the following categories: Career Financial Education Family Attitude Physical Social/Friendship Public Service Write down 1 lifetime goal in each of the above categories. Make sure they are goals YOU want to achieve not somebody else!

6  Once you’ve set your lifetime goals set smaller ones Create a 1 year plan Create a 6 month plan Create a 1 month plan  Each of these should help achieve lifetime goals  Create a daily “to do” list to help  Constantly review goals in case your plans have changed

7  A useful way of making goals more powerful  S- Specific  M- Meaningful  A- Attainable  R- Relevant  T- Time-bound  Goal Example: I want to sail around the world.  SMART goal Example: I want to sail around the world by December 2020.
