2  Percent of Change – the ratio of the change in an amount to the original amount expressed as a percent.  Percent of Increase – the new number is greater than the original number.  Percent of Decrease – the new number is less than the original number.

3 1. Decide if there is an increase or decrease. 2. Subtract the original amount and the new amount. 3. Divide by the original amount. 4. Turn your answer into a percent.
