You will use the book “Fancy Nancy Aspiring Artist”, Webster’s Online Dictionary and to complete this activity. The order in which you use these resources are: 1. “Fancy Nancy Aspiring Artist” 2. 3. In partners, you will read “Fancy Nancy Aspiring Artist”, switching off who is reading. You will notice that in between the pages there are post it notes blocking the text. This is for predicting what the new vocabulary word presented in the text means. When you read the text, copy down the new word and what you think it means in the word document provided below. Then read on with your partner to find the next word. Use pictures and context clues to predict the meanings. * What helped you come to your predictions? Vocabulary List After finding all the words in the book, you will go to Definitions Search all the vocabulary words you found in the book, and write down their exact definitions on the same word document.
