4 Creating a stronger sport system through coaching The Coaches Association of Ontario is a non-profit coach-led organization that strengthens development opportunities and provides educational resources for coaches. The CAO promotes coaching ethics and ensures the wider community recognizes the vital role of the coach in the development of sport at all levels. Coaches Association of Ontario

16 2007 Where we are now 62,500 NCCP trained coaches 625,000 athletes are impacted by NCCP-trained coaches All NSOs initiated development of the new NCCP 2010 Where CAC wants to go 100,000 NCCP-trained coaches Over 80% NSOs have completed conversion to the new NCCP Improved access to NCCP training for women, new Cdns, Aboriginals and coaches of athletes with disabilities 70% of coaches of High Perf. Athletes are certified and receive Professional Development with the support of the NCI network Lifelong learning system in place. Coaches Association of Ontario
