4. Location The location of our resource is:Some place have more wind than other. Areas near the water usually have a lot of wind.Flat land and mountain passes are good places to catch the wind. francis.edu

5. Recovery Today we use big wind turbines to capture the wind. Sometime there are hundreds of wind turbines in one place. This is called a wind farm. Some wind turbines are as tall as 20-story building. eere.energy.gov

7. Environmental Impact Wind is a clean energy source. Windmill don’t burn fuel,so they don’t pollute the air.Older windmill were sometime very noisy,but the new ones are not. Wind is a safe,clean energy source for making electricity. window.state.tx.us

8. Advantages and Disadvantages Advantages:  Wind is free,wind farms need no fuel.  The land beneath can usually still be used for farms. Disadvantages:  The wind is not always predictable.  Some people feel that covering the landscape with these towers is unsightly.
