2 What is an interactive science notebook?

3 IT IS…. A student thinking tool An organizer for inquiry questions and what I learned… A way to access and process notes and class discussion through different ways (writing, drawing, graphic organizers, and discussion) A place for writing rough drafts based on hands-on learning A formative assessment tool for you and your teachers (helps us see what you know and what you need help with)

11 Cover of your notebook Your Name Your class period Your teacher- Ms. Cumbo Room 301 This will be used to recover your notebook in case you lose it

13 On the inside front cover glue or tape the blue paper titled “How should my notebook be set up ?

14 Inside your notebook On the inside back cover glue or tape the blue paper titled “Interactive Science Notebook Grading Rubric”

15 Inside your notebook Create a table of contents on the first three pages of your notebook with 3 columns Number the first 50 pages in the top right or left corner Page numberTitle of pageDate

16 First Two Pages: On first left hand page, Write down the online textbook website: http://my.hrw.comhttp://my.hrw.com Tape/paste/copy your username and password Tape/paste/copy the textbook scavenger hunt homework assignment On first right hand side, tape in your orange binder bulletin for the first unit- make sure you can read/access both sides!!
