We are flying to London. The traveling distance is 2.900 km. The flight time is 3.40.

The first thing we saw in the airport was the sign about SWINE INFLUENZA!!!

Some hedges are rather untidy.

It has one of the oldest universities and lots of people.

This bridge is made without nails.

The statue of Henry \/III is on the façade.

Look! It is not a sceptre in Henry \/III’s hands, it is a leg of a chair.

Punting on the Cam? Why not?

It’s not cheap. But have you ever tasted mint with chocolate?

It’s a charming medieval city.

On the walls you can see different statuettes.

The choice of souvenirs is fascinating.

It’s York’s cathedral

It’s huge, you can’t take the whole picture of it.

These birds are not ducks.

You can walk in the Victorian street. The day gives way to night, you can hear sounds, voices. You can be caught by a thunderstorm. It’s fantastic!

You can see the prisoners. They’ll talk to you. They’ll tell you their story.

You can go into the shops and other houses. Now we are in the Victorian school.

Look at some English scenery.

The scenery is changing.

We are at the border with Scotland.

The border piper Allan is always on the border. If you take picture of him, give him some money.

It is called inspiring city.

You will enjoy its narrow streets and its architecture.

It’s full of ghosts, you can visit the underground city of the dead.

Some are walking in the streets. Will you DARE take picture of it?

Enjoy performances! If you want, you can take part in them.

It’s a wonderful piece of nature.

Feel at ease and enjoy the nature.

It looks ancient. In fact it was built in the 20 th century.

See Edinburgh from above.

A window every half a meter? Isn’t it strange for a northern capital?

The walls of the all the houses are dark grey.

You can see them in the streets and they are very friendly!

It’s beautiful.

The hills of Scotland are covered with heather. In August and September they are violet.

There are a lot of them in Scotland: these are Scone Palace and Blair Castle.

Unfortunately, peacocks have no tails at this time of the year.

Get to know the Scottish cow and the deer.

We hope to see Nessie.

It used to live there, but nowadays ….?

We are warned that it is dangerous but I can’t resist temptation.

Two more Nessies.

It’s the highest mountain in the UK and we are going up.

You can discover it on your own. Unfortunately, we don’t have time.

It’s a favourite place for bikers.

It’s the view from above (1000 meters high).

Scotland is full of lochs.

Scottish mountains are often called monros after the famous explorer.

A valley is a land which is between monros.

Enjoy the beauty of the Highlands.

…..only you and the mountains.

Dales are small streams which run down the hills.

It’s a village near Lake Windermere.

Its small houses and cottages are charming.

The swans are tame here.

Farewell to lochs…

Thank you for your attention. I hope you have enjoyed the presentation.
