17 FUEL CELLS: NEXT GENERATION EXTENDED RUN BACKUP POWER FOR TELECOM APPLICATIONS The ElectraGen™ ME System is an extended run backup power fuel cell system, available in 2.5 kW and 5 kW configurations. These systems provide up to 40* hours reliable backup power for telecommunications applications. The ElectraGen™ ME System includes a fuel reformer that converts methanol and water liquid fuel into hydrogen gas to power the unit. By generating its own hydrogen, the need for delivery and storage of bottled hydrogen is eliminated. This system is designed for reliability, long autonomy and minimal maintenance ADVANTAGES OVER DIESEL GENERATORS: Reliable: Fewer Moving Parts Than Diesel Generator Low Maintenance: Only Two Air Filters Once Per Year Easy Refuelling: HydroPlus Liquid Fuel Clean: Significantly Lower Emissions Than Diesel Quiet *ElectraGen METM system provides 40 hours at 5kW, 100 hours at 2 kW, or 200 hours at 1 kW on one standard tank of fuel (59 gallons).
