2 The Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee (FGCS) has developed a documented standard method for NGS employees and members of the public to submit data to the NGS for inclusion in the NGS Integrated Database (NGSIDB). See: http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/FGCS/Blue Book http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/FGCS/Blue Book “Input Formats and Specifications of the National Geodetic Survey Data Base” 2013-08-07Introduction2 http://gis.larc.nasa.gov/ Yes, It’s Blue!

3 Bluebook Preview The Bluebook specifies all the critical elements of the various files required for submission. The 2 most important files are the – B-file = occupations (metadata) and coordinates – G-file = measurements and uncertainties B-file is defined in Chapter 2 Horizontal Observation Data G-file is defined in Annex N Global Positioning System Data Transfer Format 2013-08-07Introduction3
