Grades are put into the system soon after the project/assignment/homework is turned in. If you see an EX- your child is EXCUSED. If you see an OW- your child OWES the assignment. This will appear in SchoolTool as Ex. For Excused. Tests/Projects 40% –Projects are due on time! –Students who turn in a project late may do so with a 15 point deduction. –Late projects will only be accepted within one week of original due date. Cooking Labs 10% –On average, there are four cooking labs a quarter. –Students are assigned cooking groups and receive a group grade based upon their participation and demonstration of cooking skills. –If a student is absent on a cooking lab day, they are excused (Ex. in SchoolTool) and do not need to do anything to make up the missed experience Homework- 5% –Students will receive full credit (3/3) for turning in homework the next class day. –Students will receive a 2 out of possible 3 points for returning the assignment within 1 week of due date. –Students will receive 1 point out of 3 for returning the assignment by course end. –Students who owe work at the end of the course will have a detention with the Teacher to complete the assignment. –Students are encouraged to use Lunch Bunch for help with assignment completion. –.
