2. Introduction Before our class began to research the countries, I did not know much about Madagascar. I saw the movie “Madagascar” and imagined it to be an exotic island with cool animals. I did not even realize that French is an official language there. I was excited to learn about how French came to the island and how it has influenced the culture and government.
