8 Environmental Sustainability Why talk about environmental sustainability? – The UK Government believes that climate change is the greatest long-term challenge facing the world today What are Becta trying to do in this area? – Zero Carbon Task Force for Schools – guidance to help schools promote a cultural change to reduce consumption, consider alternative solutions and manage ICT assets better – encouraging schools to demand and adopt optimum energy solutions.
