Electronic Proposed Project Questionnaire (ePPQ) Presented by RGC with Overview, Demonstration, Discussion RAIN: 07.19.2012 4

Overview: The ePPQ is the e-form version of the old paper PPQ, but much better. will be used for all RGC proposals regardless of sponsor or submission type. saves time spent scanning, running around, tracking down signatures, etc. streamlines approval process allowing for both application and institutional approval through the current route. reduces data entry by multiple layers, providing better data integrity. with SPDR (Sponsored Projects Data Reporting), allows any info. field to be captured in reports, expanding reporting capability for all! 5 RAIN: 07.19.2012

Overview: Why the Change? The ePPQ will be part of the proposal provided to each Department Chair/unit head, Dean’s Office/Vice President for Research to review. This means: all information in one place! With all proposals being created in InfoEd, this will facilitate a quicker process for all grants.gov applications through Proposal Development rather than current practice in Adobe. Going from paper PPQs to this electronic method for capturing information and approval, is aligned with OHSU’s mission to move toward paperless systems. 6 RAIN: 07.19.2012

How will this impact me? You’ll create every proposal within the InfoEd Proposal Development system. It will require information in the following tabs: –Set Up Questions –Abstract (upload Word) –Personnel –Budget –Project Summary/Description or copy of entire application being submitted to sponsor (upload) –Internal Documents where the ePPQ tab will be displayed. –Any other internal documents like cost-sharing agreement; VA PPQ, MOU 7 RAIN: 07.19.2012

How will this impact me? Also… Much of the information from your proposal will auto fill the ePPQ form and avoid duplicate entry. Routing will be handled in the same way as it currently does in InfoEd. There will be no changes for TTBD, ORIO, and CTO at this time. However, the approval process for the CTO will also become electronic in the near future. 8 RAIN: 07.19.2012
