Love Is Kind I Corinthians 13: 4a Charity suffereth long, and is kind;

Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV) – 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. – 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. – 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Other Translations – Love cares more for others than for self. (the Message) – All the other translations use the same word, kind Definition of Kindness – The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate Kindness is patience in action – Patience and kindness usually go together

Love affects to be kind – Galatians 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Goodness Kind to whom? – Christian friends Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

– Enemies Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. – Strangers Leviticus 19:34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

Why should we be kind? – Proverbs 11:17 The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. (KJV) A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself. (ESV) The man who shows loving-kindness does himself good, but the man without pity hurts himself. (NLV) – Proverbs 19:17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. (KJV)

Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done. (NIV) – Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (KJV) O man, He has told you what is good. What does the Lord ask of you but to do what is fair and to love kindness, and to walk without pride with your God? (NLV) Example of the Good Samaritan – Luke 10:25-37

27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
