37 2015-2016 School (Level) Parent Involvement Plan (PIP) Updates title1.dadeschools.net The 2015-2016 Title I School-level Parent Involvement Plan (PIP) is important. The overall layout of the FLDOE Online PIP System remains the same as last year. There are two radial buttons for each section (“No Changes Made” and “Changes Made”). The due date for submission of the Title I School-level PIP is Friday, October 2, 2015. Your Principal has been notified of this information and a Weekly Briefing is forthcoming.

39 Title I School-level PIP Reminders title1.dadeschools.net To conduct a PIP and School-parent Compact Review Meeting for parents and staff, in order to compile evidence of parent input in the development of the PIP and the Parent-school Compact for the 2015-2016 school year. To upload evidence of parent involvement in development of the Parent- school Compact and evidence of parent involvement in development of the PIP, as well as upload an electronic version of the School-parent Compact. To identify barriers which could have hindered participation by parents in parental involvement activities during the 2014-2015 school year, and the steps the school will take to overcome the identified barriers. Further, when reviewing the school’s 2014-2015 PIP, results from the school’s 2014 M-DCPS Title I Parent Involvement Survey should be utilized. Remind your school administrator:

Inform parents and parent organizations of the purpose and existence of the Title I Neighborhood Resource Center. Make them available in the school’s main office and in the Parent Resource Center/Parent Corner for parents to view. You should also provide copies at future parent meetings held at your school.
