1 HAPPY TUESDAY Bellwork : Read the statement – copy down the statements on your bellwork sheet from the passage and label them as Independent Variable, Dependent Variable, Constant, and Control. “Mrs. Hilberg wanted to see if students who were shocked with a mild electric charge when answering questions incorrectly would then concentrate harder and get more questions correct. She attached electrodes to the chairs of the half the students which she labeled group A. The remaining students were labeled group B. She then asked all the students 5 questions of the same complexity concerning a subject introduced the previous day. She found that group A improved to an 80% accuracy by the 3 rd question. Group B only reached 70% accuracy by the 5 th questions.”
