1. WELCOME TO DIGITAL MEDIA 1 - 4 “THE HUB” Room 23-108 Mrs. Barber

2. WHAT IS THE HUB ?  A computerized electronic office.  The Hub is comprised of employees working independently.  We have a manager and a team leader each period.

3. MEET THE DIRECTOR  Hi, I’m Mrs. Barber Graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education. Worked for EDS, Mary Kay and Pillsbury prior to teaching. Teach Digital Design 1-4 Business Academy Co-Director Curriculum Leader NTHS Advisor

4. DIGITAL DESIGN I First semester includes basic HTML and Web page design with Adobe Dreamweaver. Second semester includes application in Adobe Photoshop. Other topics such as: Computer Ethics Business and Social Responsibility Effective Communication practices will be integrated into all courses

5. DIGITAL DESIGN 2 Independent Learning Students in Digital 2 start the year with Adobe InDesign and then move on to Illustrator, Advanced Photoshop, or Flash.

6. DIGITAL DESIGN 3 AND 4  Independent Learning  Students in Digital 3 & 4 are learning Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, and Premier Pro

7. ABOVE AND BEYOND No student is ever left with nothing to do! Each assignment has additional work that can take them to the next level and the next highest grade. Every student should always be on task!

8. STUDENT GRADES Please check Progressbook often If you need to find out how to access Progressbook, go to the DPHS website. Each Week 110 Points Are Available 100 Weekly Assignments 10 Professional Points

9. BUSINESS DRESS WEDNESDAY The first Wednesday of the month is executive dress. Every other Wednesday is business casual dress. Every student receives 5 extra credit points for business dress. We accept dress from the Medical Academy or from a sports team.

10. COURSE DONATION Our course asks that students make a $20 donation for all the materials that are used throughout the year. We greatly appreciate your support.

11. SENIOR PAGES Our students also assist in the creation and design of the Senior Pages in our school yearbook.
