3 MOTIVATION Learn more about the Linux world and specifically about openSuse It provides background on how to work with servers 3

4 INTRODUCTION File sharing will make your job easier Saves time Increases the security 4

5 PROBLEMS Loss of data due to no backup Installing a server will take a significant amount of time and an expert is needed for setup The network is not secure enough 5

6 SOLUTION Having a server where everybody saves their work, will lower the possibility of losing data instead of using a jump drive or copy the data to a CD It will save time by having a folder where the authorized users can share information instead of sending e-mails, especially with large size files 6

7 SOLUTION By installing the Samba server, it will be easier to control the shared files, and make the network more secure 7

8 RESULTS OpenSuse is a user friendly software comparing to other Linux systems No need to use command line OpenSuse is free software 8
