2 Where is silver found? Silver is naturally found in rocks. It can also be found near the surface, in soils and sands, in nearly pure masses, or nuggets, from tiny to hundreds of kilograms. Silver usually has to be mined underground. The main countries in the world where silver is found are Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, China, Australia, Chile, Poland and Serbia.
