2. Coming in 5 th place… Sydney, Australia! When I was younger I went to Sydney with my family and it was so fun. Sydney is the most populated city of Australia with 4.6 million people living in it. It is also on the south-east coast of Australia and is the capital city of New South Wales. I can’t remember much but I remember going to Sydney Aquarium which had thousands of marine life. I remember watching the little blue penguins which were so cute. I also went inside the Sydney Opera House but I found it a little uninteresting. We had a tour but I didn’t understand much.

3. Coming in 5 th place…. Queenstown, New Zealand! Coming in 4th place…. Queenstown, New Zealand! Queenstown is in the south-west of New Zealand’s South Island. I went there last year with friends and family during the holidays. We also visited 2 nearby towns called Arrowtown and Wanaka. Queenstown is the adventure city of NZ because of all the fun things you can do. I went on a jet boat, it was so fast and so exciting. I also went on a steam cruise to see all the beautiful views. That day was Christmas so we did lots of shopping. Queenstown has lots of beautiful views and is a filming place for lots of movies including Lord Of The Rings.

4. Coming in 3 rd place…. Melbourne, Australia!!! Later this year I am going to Coburn School in Melbourne as a part of a student exchange program. I can’t wait to try different foods and experience Australian culture. I am also looking forward to going on the plane and meeting my home stay. Also we are going to Science Works which sounds like a lot of fun. Best of all, I am going with some of my friends!

5. Coming in 2 nd place…. Guang Zhou, China!! Even though I live in NZ my parents are from Guang Zhou so I go there nearly every year. It is one of my favorite places because I get to visit a lot of my friends and family. Guang Zhou is China’s 3 rd largest city and is very crowded, with 12.78 million people in 2010. It is very fun to do shopping in China because the shopping malls are huge, there are lots of different shops and shopping at night is fun too. In Guang Zhou people speak Cantonese, which is what I speak at home. Guang Zhou’s symbol is the five goats statue which is in Yuexiu Park. Recently in Guang Zhou they built a Canton Tower which is 600 meters high.

6. Coming 1 st …. Auckland, New Zealand!!! In 1 st place is my favorite place of all time, Auckland! Auckland is home to the famous Sky Tower which is 328 meters high. Auckland is where I have lived since I was 2 years old and most of my friends live in Auckland as well as some of my relatives. Wakaaranga Primary is (the best school ever) is also in Auckland and is one of my favorite places. Finally my home, it is where I live most of my time and has most of my favorite things. Family and friends often come over and I have lots of happy memories inside my house.
