Why is it important to have a variety of animals in the bay? The sea roaches help the bay by making it clean. The Broad Leaved Grass help animals have a hideout. The Widgeon grass help for a food source for animals in the bay. My research will show that sea roaches, Broad Leaved Grass, and Widgeon grass how they help the bay.

The sea roaches The sea roaches help the bay by making it clean. Sea roaches are an inch long. During the day they hide under rocks. They mostly live and hunt above the water line. Fish and birds hunt them. They are camouflaged animals. During the night they hunt for their food. They eat dead plants and dead animals.

Broad leaved The Broad Leaved Grass help animals have a hideout. Broad leaved can grow up to 10 feet. They are near the shores, ponds, lakes, rivers, marshes, and ditches. They are year around plants. Also, they taste like cucumbers and can be made into pickles. Muskrats, nutrias, beavers, crayfish, fish, and Canada geese eats them. Some animals like to nest near them. Lastly, they provide a hideout for animals.

Widgeon grass The Widgeon grass help for a food source for animals in the bay. Widgeon grass are located in shores and ditches. They need sunlight. Also, it does not have stems. When dead they provide food for little animals. Lastly, ducks and geese eats it.

Conclusion In conclusion I learned that Widgeon grass, Broad leaved, and sea roaches provide a food source for many bay animals. Also, Widgeon grass and Broad leaved provide a hideout for animals.
